Garlic Beef Meatballs with a Sticky Ginger Sauce

A budget-friendly meal that the whole family will enjoy. Simple but tasty!
Ingredients
Meatballs

1/2 brown onion peeled and diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 500 g beef mince
- 1/4 cup almond meal
- 1 egg

Changing Habits Seaweed Salt to taste

cracked Changing Habits Pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp mixed herbs (fresh or dried)
- juice of 1 lemon or lime

1 tsp Changing Habits Ginger Powder

1/2 tsp Changing Habits Chilli Powder
- 2 tbsp tamari or coconut aminos
Sticky ginger sauce
-
1/3 cup tamari or coconut aminos
- 1/4 cup honey
-
1 tsp Changing Habits Ginger Powder
To Serve

2 cups cooked rice
- 2 cups steamed broccoli and beans
- 2 tbsp dried chilli flakes
Directions
Meatballs
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Place all meatball ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
Roll the mixture into balls and place on a lined wire rack.
Bake for 30 minutes or until the meatballs have browned on the outside and are cooked through.
- While the meatballs are in the oven, cook the rice and steam the vegetables. Cover with a lid to keep warm.
Ginger Sauce
- Place all of the sauce ingredients in a pot and mix well. Heat to a high temperature until the liquid begins to boil and then turn down to medium-low.
Simmer for approximately 10 minutes, or until the liquid begins to thicken and set aside.
Assembly
- Spoon the rice into a bowl and top with the meatballs, vegetables and drizzle with the sauce.
Sprinkle with dried chilli flakes.
